    Surely you mean “when engaging in promiscuous sex”.
    For monogamous sex the risk of any STD is essentially zero.

      Unless you are in a monogamous relationship with someone who has an STI.

      It is not uncommon for people with chronic infections such as hepatitis or HIV to have long term stable relationships… In fact it’s the norm.
