A Chemist Warehouse is among a new list of locations in Sydney which were visited by a person with COVID-19
On Monday, August 31, NSW Health reported that there had been 10 new cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday night, including six returned travellers who were in hotel quarantine, and four locally acquired cases which were linked to a known case or cluster.
All four locally acquired cases have been linked to the CBD cluster, as has one previous case from South-Eastern Sydney. There are now 34 cases associated with the cluster.
Anybody who attended the Chemist Warehouse at 293 Darling Street Balmain, from 2 to 2.30pm on Friday, 28 August, is now considered to be a casual contact and must monitor for symptoms and be tested immediately if they develop.
After testing, they must remain in isolation until a negative test result is received.
The list issued on Monday also included the Woolworths at Balmain – where a worker also tested positive to the novel coronavirus in early July after working there in late June – the Sushi Rio at Chatswood, and Coles at St Ives Shopping Centre.
