Forum: DD-Book

“A dumb question, but I am curious. Dispense software by definition records all the necessary information required for prescriptions including S8s. Why is there still a need for handwritten registers or DD-Book? It would seem an unnecessary additional expense and double-handling (at least in QLD)..”

How does your Dispensing software account for incoming stock from a supplier or a stock transfer?

The database integration between a POS (or inventory management system) and your Dispensing software can show the actual stock on hand at the actual time of dispensing, this including ‘committed’ stock, but it does not give a historical breakdown of how much stock has been received and from what supplier?

For a start, how about ‘harmonising’ all Australia State and Territory Health Regulations into one Law?
