“I had a patient come in with a 21 mg nicotine patch last week who was told by a Quitline in NSW operator that he should wear three. He is a heavy smoker 50 a day but still this advice in a setting like this strikes me as a bit off….”

    I wonder what qualifications or training the people on the Quitline have before making these recommendations? Or for that matter liability? Or does that fall onto the shoulders of the pharmacist who hopefully catches the situation? Maybe these things SHOULDN’T be in supermarkets?
