Medibank and Sigma Healthcare have announced a three-year partnership to engage new customers, reward existing customers, and support their customers’ health needs
The partnership will commence in the first half of 2018, with the rollout of customer offers for private health insurance and other insurance products for Amcal customers, and pharmacy products and services for Medibank customers.
Medibank Chief Customer Officer David Koczkar says he is excited about the partnership’s potential.
“Amcal is a leading pharmacy brand in Australia and a brand that has enormous recognition and trust with consumers,” says Mr Koczkar.
“While we’re excited to bring unique offers and rewards to Amcal and Medibank customers, it’s the potential for us to collectively develop health and wellbeing programs for our customers that’s a game changer.
“When Medibank customers need to go to a pharmacy, we want to be right there with them, working with Amcal to look after their health needs and making their health journey easier,” he said.
Sigma General Manager Merchandise & Marketing Sarah Pizzey says, “Amcal and Medibank are very aligned in our focus on supporting improved community health outcomes.
“We both have a number of exciting customer health programs and significant health expertise, so joining forces makes a lot of sense.

In the last year Medibank has scaled up its efforts to improve the health outcomes of its customers. The company now employs almost 1,200 health professionals to help their customers prevent illness, support them through health issues, or give them greater choice about how and where their healthcare is delivered.
