Poll: Which party will best represent pharmacy?

vote

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has pulled the trigger for a double dissolution election – but how will it impact pharmacy?

There’s been precious little mention of health promises from any major party to date.

And from pharmacy’s perspective, last week’s Budget was remarkable more for its absence of any further PBS reform than for any real impact on the health sector, though tax breaks for SMEs and individuals were welcomed by several stakeholders.

Pharmacy also has to wait for any glimpse into what the future Government might consider following the release of the Remuneration and Regulation Review: panel Chair Professor Stephen King announced today that as the Government has gone into “caretaker mode,” convention requires that the report’s release and any further discussion wait until after the election.
