Amcal has launched an Amcal app with the aim of providing a seamless customer experience
The banner group says that the app allows patients to fulfil their prescription needs, while also strengthening the patient-pharmacist relationship through custom app features.
Now available to download from the Apple App and Google Play stores, the Amcal app will allow customers to select an Amcal pharmacy to fulfil their prescriptions digitally and will prompt in-store consultation.
The app will also feature an inbuilt Carers Mode designed to help those looking after others more easily with multiple profiles in the one place.
Head of Brand, Kurt O’Brien, said the launch of the Amcal app will ensure Amcal pharmacists are prepared for an e-script future, while also assisting in driving valued one-on-one customer consultations in-pharmacy.
“We’re excited to launch the Amcal app which will utilise market-leading technology to fulfil the immediate demand for online prescriptions from consumers, while also strengthening our unique and trusted relationship with patients through our service-led approach to pharmacy care,” Mr O’Brien said.
“We know many of our customers will benefit from greater access to technology and the app features have been carefully considered with our consumers in mind, including the carers’ functionality which will ease the process of fulfilling and managing prescription needs for those they care for,” he said.
Additional features and functionality are planned and underway, with in-app customer loyalty programs and e-commerce functionality expected to be integrated soon.
