Children’s pain ‘real, complex and often invisible’


Pharmacists crucial to addressing chronic pain in children, expert says Community pharmacists have key role in ensuring children suffering with chronic pain can access care, according to Chronic Pain Australia chair, Nicolette Ellis.   Launching the nation’s first Kids Pain Report, Ellis noted that one-in-five children in Australia experience chronic pain, with diagnosis often delayed.
