How do other busy pharmacies manage a couple of issues that come up with having more than one pharmacist?
A forum member says: “For most of our opening hours we have 2 pharmacists on duty, and a total of 5 pharmacists on the roster. I am wondering how other busy pharmacies manage a couple of issues this raises:
“Whose initials go on the dispensing record when the tech dispenses it but doesn’t necessarily know which Pharmacist will check it?
“The other issue is DDs. I often remind us all to be extremely careful when receiving, dispensing and signing out DDs, but we still seem to spend time chasing discrepancies.
“Any suggestions would be great!”
