With a new name and a fresh batch of participants, Pharmacy Choice’s Five Steps Incentive Program has delivered increased retail sales, luxury holidays and great prizes to pharmacies across the country, the group says.
Four hundred pharmacies attended this year’s Incentive Program, which takes a structured scorecard approach and rewards stores for their commitment to the Pharmacy Choice Five Steps Program – buy better, improve layout, ramp up marketing, train for better results and streamline operations.
For U Pharmacy South Yarra owner Jane Nguy, becoming a Pharmacy Choice member has delivered an increase in sales and an enviable collection of Incentive Program prizes.
This year her pharmacy finished first and won a luxury trip to New Zealand.
“We’ve been a regular winner since joining the Pharmacy Choice Five Steps Incentive Program four years ago, but never taken out the number one spot before so it’s very exciting,” Nguy says.
“The Incentive Program is great because it gives our entire team a goal to work towards throughout the year. We use the Intellipharm StoreIQ platform to measure retail scan sales and determine where we need to make changes to ensure we’re maintaining growth.
“We could see that we were coming first for a few months, so we made it our goal to stay at the top until the end – and we did! The Pharmacy Choice team always go above and beyond, so we knew the trip would be amazing.”
Each of the Top 30 winners travelled to Auckland, with the Top 10 then heading on to Queenstown. An additional 20 stores won auction items by using their incentive points to bid.
National Manager Pharmacy Choice Luke McKinnon says the Incentive Program was all about providing sustained motivation and increasing member engagement with the Five Steps Program.
“For almost a decade now, we’ve been helping Australian pharmacies retain their independence and improve their businesses using our Five Steps to business success,” McKinnon says.
“Our pharmacies are working hard to succeed in a tough industry and master the Five Steps, so it’s great to be able to reward their efforts on a personal level with auction prizes and luxury holidays.
“The Incentive Program has been very effective in helping our members’ businesses grow, making them more efficient and increasing basket size.”
A dinner acknowledging the Top 5 winners and sponsor partners was held at the Langham Hotel in Melbourne on Thursday, October 27.
