Department flags drug substitution rules as doctors raise concerns


Survey reveals pharmacists are switching patients to bioequivalent brands of prescribed medicines despite GPs ticking ‘no substitution allowed’  Pharmacists are being warned that they could find themselves in breach of legislation if they supply an alternative brand to a prescribed medication when a prescriber has signal not to substitute the drug.   Responding to the results
