Forum: Anginine dissolution

“Has anyone had any experience of Anginine not dissolving/disintegrating under the tongue quickly enough? Our Medical Imaging department uses Anginine to dilate coronary arteries prior to a certain type of scan, and they are finding the tablet doesn’t dissolve rapidly enough. They put the tablet in a small amount of water to see what would happen, and after 5 minutes the tablet is still largely intact. Upon looking at the MIMS I found it interesting that Anginine is still described as being square (as Lycinate currently is), but the new tablets are round. Is there an issue with the new tablets?”
