Forum: Sunday penalty rates cut in half

“Looked up NSW nurses award.  $29 first year out, automatically rising for  each year of experience to $41 after eight years. >$50 for managers. Sat paid at 1.5x award, Sun at 1.75x award. A myriad of extras, according to shifts and an annual continuing education allowance (who in retail pharmacy has ever received paid time off to go to a conference?)   Not to mention some of the fringe benefits lurks associated with working for non profit establishments.  Sad for our lot, isn’t it?”

Nurses have union even if they are working for different employers. I don’t understand why employed pharmacists still don’t have a union.
There is a strong union for owners only. PSA is for all.
PPA don’t have enough members to take strong action.
Very sad story for us employed pharmacists indeed.
