Overseas-trained registrants surge

Overseas-trained pharmacists accounted for more than half of all first-time registrations in 2023/24  Data from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) annual report for 2023/24 shows a significant increase in the number of overseas pharmacists obtaining registration in Australia for the first time.  The report revealed 38,610 pharmacists were registered with the Pharmacy Board
