NAPSA and LocumCo have teamed up to create a new portal to match up pharmacy owners and interns
The free, national portal allows owners to list their intern requirements and students to apply for these positions.
Through “extensive” discussions with NAPSA, LocumCo heard about significant difficulties experienced by students nearing the end of their studies in trying to search for an Intern position.
These discussions uncovered an issue with too many options being available, causing confusion for owners and students alike.
The new portal allows community pharmacy owners and hospitals to visit www.locumco.com.au and click the front page link to list an intern position.
It also allows final year pharmacy students to visit www.locumco.com.au and insert “intern” into the position type field to find all the intern jobs available around the country.
They can apply, using their CV and cover letter, and LocumCo will handle the rest of the interaction, including offering feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
“LocumCo has had such a long association with the pharmacy profession that it is offering the entire service at no charge as a way of giving back to the industry,” said LocumCo’s Sue Muller.
