Undisclosed sildenafil

The TGA has advised consumers not to take Germany Black Ant 2000mg tablets, as they contain undisclosed sildenafil

These tablets pose a serious health risk and should not be taken, it says.

The TGA tested the product and found the sildenafil, a prescription-only ingredient in Australia.

“Germany Black Ant 2000mg tablets have not been assessed by the TGA for quality, safety or efficacy as required under Australian legislation, and the place of manufacture is not approved by the TGA,” it says.

It encourages consumers to take any such tablets to their pharmacy for safe disposal.

It reiterated its warning to consumers to exercise “extreme caution” when purchasing medicines from unknown overseas websites.
