Zimstat SSSI extended

Shortages of Alphapharm’s Zimstat 5 mg tablets are forecast to continue  The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has announced the extension of the Serious Scarcity Substitution Instrument (SSSI) for Zimstat (simvastatin) 5 mg tablets, to 31 May 2026.   The decision came after Alphapharm told the regulator that the shortage of the 5 mg tablets is expected to continue until the end of April.  The TGA noted
