Keep on top of all the developments around electronic prescriptions at APP2020

Is your pharmacy ready for the reality of electronic prescriptions? The Australian Government wants all community pharmacies to be ‘ePrescription ready’ in the second half of 2020. This will impact workflow, workload and how patients interact with their community pharmacy.

APP2020 will feature the following key sessions on electronic prescriptions:

What are ePrescriptions and what do they mean to me? Thursday 19 March, 2pm

This session will focus on two new models for ePrescriptions, demonstrate how they work and discuss the changing role of pharmacy in the medications supply process.

Electronic prescriptions – changes to patient engagement with the pharmacist and pharmacy workflow, Thursday 19 March, 2.45pm

Fred IT Group’s CEO, Paul Naismith will outline the most efficient and effective way community pharmacies in Australia should set up their systems to maximise the benefits of electronic prescriptions, based on reviewing health systems overseas.

How electronic prescriptions will affect my pharmacy, Saturday 21 March, 3.30pm

The Australian Digital Health Agency’s Director of Medicines Safety, Andrew Matthews will run through how electronic prescriptions can be implemented in a pharmacy and how it will change daily operations.
