‘The world only watches a speed skater from Brisbane once every four years’

The four-time Olympian and gold medalist caught up with Miranda at the AJP stage during APP 2021 and shared several jaw-dropping insights.

Despite incurring a neck fracture 16 months out from the 2002 winter Olympics, and being told by doctors he likely wouldn’t take to the ice again, Steven drew on his resolve to compete for a fourth time… and we all know how that ended!
