Join pharmacy’s leading minds for Australia’s leading clinical pharmacy conference

One of Australia’s largest pharmacy gatherings is set to make a splash in Sydney this month, and there’s still time to register and be part of the action.

The flagship national conference of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA), Medicines Management 2017 (MM2017) is expecting a strong turnout of over 1,200 delegates as Australia’s leading minds in pharmacy descend on the Emerald City from 16 to 19 November.

SHPA Chief Executive Kristin Michaels says MM2017 is a landmark on the pharmacy calendar and will feature three leading national and international speakers.

‘We’re thrilled to have an outstanding plenary line up for the 43rd SHPA National Conference: Emeritus Professor Kim Oates from The University of Sydney will focus on patient safety, while Professor Zubin Austin from the University of Toronto will explore the essentials of cultural competency in pharmacy practice.

‘Renowned futurist Michael McQueen will help delegates guide their thinking into the near and not-so-near future with “Decoding the next generation”, amid what is shaping up to be a dynamic and diverse program of events.’

MM2017 will also feature a much-anticipated gala dinner – ‘A night of glamour in the Emerald City’ – over 200 research posters and a number of pre-conference workshops, over its four action-packed days.
