$15 million compensation for CSO wholesalers

Sigma has agreed to an amendment to its Community Service Obligation Deed that will result in an additional $5.2 million of funding

The amendment to the CSO Deed reflects the Federal Government’s Budget commitment to provide compensation to CSO wholesalers to offset the impact of the funding arrangement agreed by the Government with Medicines Australia.

As a result, total compensation of $15m will be shared by the CSO wholesalers, calculated based on the relevant CSO market share over the past two years.

From an earnings perspective, Sigma will recognise these monies between now and June 2020 in line with the corresponding impact from the new agreement with MA.
