Pharmacy women got together for a round of golf last week during the inaugural Medici Capital Women’s Pharmacy Golf Day.
The day, held at Green Acres Golf Club in Kew, Melbourne saw several pharmacists and pharmacy industry participants go head-to-head on the course under perfect weather conditions.
The Nearest to Pin competitions were won by pharmacists Diana Nowak and Robyn Poyner, with a huge drive from Sigma’s Kirstie Hepburn taking out the Longest Drive competition on the 15th hole.
The format for the days was 4-ball Ambrose with the overall winners being the team consisting of Hepburn, NAB’s Louise Membrey, pharmacist Jane Mitchell and Attain’s Natalie Sirianni.
“Golf provides business insights which players should use in managing their pharmacy,” Medici Capital’s Frank Sirianni told the golfers at a dinner following the competition.
“Ultimately small changes, built on at each business stage (or golf hole) can lead to massive results over the whole game.
“It is important for business owners to accept that it is your business success that will drive your wellbeing and destiny, and perhaps your family and team’s too.”
Attain’s Natalie Sirianni says the day was a great success and will become an annual event.
She says she’s excited about getting more women involved.
