BD acquires Dose Innovations

BD has announced that it has completed the acquisition of assets from Dose Innovations

In January Dose Innovations entered voluntary administration, with turnaround, restructuring and insolvency advisory firm Cor Cordis appointed as Administrators.

At the time Cor Cordis announced that it had entered into a license agreement with Becton, Dickinson and Company to allow the business to continue operations, though Dose was not able to continue trading in its own right.

The acquisition provides a long-term solution and business continuity for BD Rowa customers, BD says.

“By taking over the sales and service operations of Dose Innovations that supported BD Rowa Technologies solutions in Australia and New Zealand, BD can more quickly build scale and depth in medication dispensing solutions for community pharmacies, pharmacy banner groups, hospital pharmacies and pharmaceutical wholesalers,” says Dirk Wingenter, vice president of BD Rowa Technologies.

“We look forward to enhancing the pharmacy experience and innovations in medication wholesale across Australia and New Zealand.”

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
