The Chemist Warehouse group is financing the expansion of a Bendigo shopping centre, according to local news media
According to the Bendigo Advertiser, a planning application was tendered to the City of Greater Bendigo on behalf of My Chemist, via a third party.
My Chemist and Chemist Warehouse are both part of the same wider group.
The application is for a $10.5 million expansion of Epsom Village, a northern Bendigo shopping centre. It would include a 2000m2 extension of the existing area which would include space for a gym, car wash and laundromat as well as an expanded number of retail spaces.
There is no myChemist currently located in the shopping centre, though it does have a Chemist Warehouse. Chemist Warehouse also has a store in the Bendigo CBD.
The application proposes that construction of three new buildings and the car wash begin in 2017-8, with final construction – of a café and more retail premises – to begin in 2019.
