Complementary Medicines Australia launches seminar

wellness: selection of complementary medicines

Complementary Medicines Australia has now opened registrations for the 2015 Quality Learning Seminar, to be held at the Swissotel, Sydney, 3rd June 2015.

“Australian complementary medicines are highly regarded and recognised worldwide as meeting the highest standard of quality, safety and efficacy, which is of obvious benefit to Australian consumers and also to our industry’s exports,” says CMA chief executive Carl Gibson.

“The CMA Quality Seminar is one of a range of measures that CMA has implemented to ensure the safeguarding of the exceptional reputation of our products.

“This seminar will cover all the information needed to meet the high standards of quality in complementary medicines set by the Therapeutic Goods Administration and by CMA, as well as provide insight from members of the industry who have been awarded for their commitment to producing top quality products.

“Today’s environment of instant information, web of intelligent and linked data and active interactions with consumers, means that businesses need to protect their reputation, including by embedding a quality focus into day-to-day organisational practices.”

Seminar speakers include government regulators and experienced industry stakeholders who will cover topics including good manufacturing practices for complementary medicines, testing techniques for preventing contamination, and panel discussions.
