CWH makes online top 10

Chemist Warehouse has been named one of Australia’s top online retailers

Power Retail, which supports retailers and other businesses in their online endeavours, announced the winners of its 2021 “All Star Bash” on Thursday night.

Bunnings Warehouse took out the top award, being named the No.1 Online Retailer for the year.

Bunnings was followed by Woolworths, Kmart, Coles, Kogan, Catch and Target.

Chemist Warehouse came in at number eight, followed by Officeworks and JB Hi-Fi.

“With COVID-19 forcing Australians online more than ever before, it’s been very impressive to watch how brands have adapted quickly to the high demand,” said Power Retail managing director Grant Arnott.

“While online shopping has been great for brands in helping them survive the pandemic, now customer loyalty will become key. Brands need to ensure repeat purchasing is occurring and that there is a focus on personalisation in 2021.

“Revenue and traffic overall is still increasing year-on-year and the conversion rate is strong, so the onus will be on retailers to ensure they’re delivering the best user experience possible, otherwise, shoppers will simply look elsewhere,” he said.
