Heatwave deaths could more than quadruple in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, a new study warns The first global study to predict future heatwave-related deaths predicts that unless humans can adapt to future temperatures, such deaths will increase dramatically in tropical and subtropical regions, followed closely by Australia, Europe and the US.
