Terry White cuts the ribbon at Terry White Chemists Hilton

Terry White Group co-founder and chairman, Terry White, has cut the ribbon on the first conversion of a Chemplus pharmacy to the Terry White Chemists brand – Terry White Chemists Hilton.

This comes almost six weeks after the group announced it had completed its acquisition of Chemplus Pty Ltd – the franchise management company for the South Australian Chemplus network of pharmacies.

Terry White Group CEO Anthony White says the past year has been transformational for the company, highlighted by solid financial performance, with the integration and conversion of the Chemplus pharmacies, “progressing well”.

“Chemplus has been an important strategic acquisition for our Group and we are actively pursuing our strategy to consolidate with other ‘like-minded’ pharmacy brands,” White says.

He says the continuing changes in the pharmacy industry are expected to present attractive opportunities for the Group in the future.

“We expect industry consolidation will continue in the short-medium term and we are well placed to take advantage of the opportunities for the greater benefit of our entire network,” White says.

“The investments we have made in our retail infrastructure, systems and platforms have us strongly positioned to capitalise on industry shifts and to support pharmacy owners to grow and succeed, particularly given the impact of the 6CPA.”
