Guild ad urges action on risk share, trial programs

The Pharmacy Guild is urging the Government to honour Sixth Community Pharmacy Agreement commitments in full, by advertising in The Australian

The Guild placed a full-page advertisement in The Australian newspaper today congratulating Greg Hunt on his appointment as Health Minister and noting the Coalition’s commitment to the community pharmacy model.

“On behalf of local pharmacy small business owners, we congratulate Greg Hunt on becoming Federal Health Minister,” the ad says.

“Every day there are one million visits to pharmacies around Australia.

“We appreciate the Coalition’s strong commitment to the community pharmacy model and look forward to working with you to deliver the Sixth Community Pharmacy Agreement in full.

“We are placing our trust in you just as our patients place their trust in us.”

The Guild remains in discussions with the Government to ensure that the 6CPA is delivered in full, including the risk share provisions, and the additional $50 million for the Pharmacy Trial Program and $600 million for new and expanded professional programs through community pharmacies.
