Pharmacists ratings of OTC companies revealed at industry awards night
The Consumer Healthcare Products (CHP) Australia Diamond Award winners were announced last night. As in previous years, a portion of the awards were voted by pharmacists and pharmacy assistants.
The winners in these categories were:
Pharmacy Sales Excellence <$100m – Apotex (runners-up: Care Pharmaceuticals & Endeavour Consumer Health)
Pharmacy Sales Excellence >$100m – iNova Pharmacueticals & Ego Pharmaceuticals (tie). Runner-up: Sanofi Aventis
Quality Use of Medicines Excellence <$100m – Allergan Australia
Quality Use of Medicines Excellence >$100m – iNova Pharmaceuticals
These awards were based on a survey of 1000 pharmacists and pharmacy assistants, conducted by PharmacyClub. Pharmacists and pharmacy assistants rated CHP Australia member companies on nine attributes.
Winners of the Marketing Awards, decided by an expert judging panel were:
Best Marketing Campaign of a Consumer Healthcare Product (large budget) – Sanofi Aventis for Mersynofen ‘Light Dancer’
Best Marketing Campaign of a Consumer Healthcare Product (small budget) – Church & Dwight for Curash ‘Spray goodbye to messy fingers’
Best Data Strategy – Johnson & Johnson for Nicorette Quick Mist ‘Precision Marketing’
Best Professional Marketing Campaign – Ego Pharmaceuticals for Kloxema “Go from strength to strength’
Best Digital/Social Media Campaign – Care Pharmaceuticals for Hydralyte ‘Vlogger’
Best Consumer Healthcare Product Launch – Care Pharmaceuticals for Little Range ‘Little range, big impact’
Best PR Campaign – Johnson & Johnson for Zyrtec ‘Allergy Face’
Best New Product – Bayer Consumer Health for Canesten Vaginal pH self test
Judges Commendation – RB Health
The awards were held in Sydney this week, and attended by CHP Australia member companies, advertising agencies and key stakeholders in the nonprescription medicine industry.
Special guest for the evening was Deborah Hutton who shared her experiences and involvement with health and wellness in a Q&A session.
