Who are the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies? These are the top 20

New statistics collated by UK data and analytics agency GlobalData has revealed the world’s 20 leading pharmaceutical companies at the end of 2019, as rated by market capitalisation.

“The pharma sector saw promising year-on-year (YoY) growth in 2019, compared to the previous year, with 16 of the top 20 companies by market capitalization (MCap) recording positive MCap growth and 14 companies seeing a double-digit growth rate,” GlobalData stated.

Among the positive performances were Takeda Pharmaceutical and Daiichi Sankyo, which reported more than 100% YoY growth in their market caps.

Australia’s CSL also performed well, moving up to fourteenth place in the list.
