Liver injury warning


The TGA has warned consumers and health professionals that turmeric and curcumin-containing medicines and supplements may pose a liver risk Medicines and herbal supplements containing the herb Curcuma longa (turmeric) and/or curcumin may cause liver injury in rare cases, the Therapeutic Goods Administration says. The risk also relates to other ingredients from the Curcuma species
