Man found dead after robbing pharmacy

A man suspected of stealing cash and drugs from a Toowoomba pharmacy was found dead three days after the incident

According to Queensland police, preliminary information suggested that at around 8.15am on February 15, a man with a “skinny build” and “sun-hardened tanned complexion” entered the Mylne Street pharmacy and threatened staff with a knife.

He was given cash and drugs and fled the scene. Nobody was physically harmed.

The man was seen about 10 minutes later at a nearby car park. Police appealed to the public for help in identifying the man.

However, in the course of their investigations, they went to a Newtown address a couple of days later and found the man dead.

Items found at the scene were directly linked to the armed robbery.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
