Pharmacist in killer security scare

A pharmacist has allegedly been attempting to take covert photographs of terminally ill serial murderer Ivan Milat

According to the Daily Telegraph, the pharmacist reportedly caused a “security scare” at the Prince of Wales Hospital, where Mr Milat is being treated for complications of cancer.

Mr Milat is suffering from an advanced cancer which began as oesophageal cancer and has now spread to a number of other systems.

He is not expected to survive longer than several weeks.

Mr Milat, who was in custody at Long Bay prison hospital and who has been treated at Prince of Wales for a few weeks, was attending regular treatment at Prince of Wales.

Since the pharmacist was allegedly caught attempting to photograph him, he has been admitted as an inpatient at an “inmate-only annex”.

According to the Telegraph, the pharmacist was spotted on a closed circuit security system taking photographs on a mobile phone.

The paper does not state whether the pharmacist was an employee of the hospital.

The incident is now being investigated.
