PSA opens its new New South Wales home
Pharmacy House NSW was officially opened by NSW Minister for Health and Medical Research, Brad Hazzard, earlier this week (Monday 29 July).
The office of the NSW Branch of the PSA has moved from its home of more than 40 years in St Leonards to a new, purpose-designed headquarters in Ridge Street, North Sydney.
“The more we can do to empower pharmacists to reach out to local communities, to be able to do a lot of things to make sure they’re safer from the disease you can get, and certainly, the flu vaccinations and the broadening of that, deafness by rubella, pertussis, are a great opportunity,” Mr Hazzard told assembled dignitaries and guests before officially opening the new facility.
At the same event, PSA NSW also honoured former branch president George (Jerry) Benjamin as the Longest Surviving President of the branch. Mr Benjamin was presented with a certificate of recognition by Minister Hazzard at the event.
