Symbion has announced it has secured the contract to supply Blooms The Chemist for a further five years

The move continues a longstanding partnership that commenced 20 years ago.

The contract will see Symbion remain the first line wholesaler of prescription medicines, OTC and complementary health products to the network of 90 Blooms The Chemist stores across Australia.

Symbion CEO Brett Barons said it was pleasing that the two organisations could reach a mutual agreement to continue their relationship into its third decade.

“Our partnership with Blooms forms an important part of our wholesale operations across Australia. We also look forward to extending the services we can offer Blooms through the broader Healthcare division of EBOS Group,” he said.

“Any relationship in business that lasts 20 years is a testament to all involved and we’re proud to continue our association with Blooms.

“The continued success of our strategic partnership acknowledges the shared values of our organisations in delivering great health outcomes to the community.”

Blooms The Chemist CEO Phil Smith said Symbion has been a valued partner in its journey to grow from a small independent chain to one of Australia’s leading community pharmacy networks.

“Since 1995, Blooms The Chemist has been committed to delivering friendly expert advice and exceptional professional service to customers across Australia,” he said.

“Critical to this is ensuring we have the right health products for our patients in stock and access to the full range of PBS medicines in a timely manner to ensure that our pharmacists can focus on what’s important – the health of their patients.

“Symbion has been providing exceptional service to our network of stores for 20 years and we’re pleased to continue this relationship for at least the next five.”
