Boosting vax rates

MedAdvisor has announced new features to help boost flu vaccination rates in the coming months

Digital medication management platform MedAdvisor has announced new features within its PlusOne pharmacy software, to help pharmacies increase demand for flu vaccinations and enable them to deliver more vaccinations this flu season.

MedAdvisor says its new features will help pharmacists leverage data and automation through PlusOne, by providing them with a simple solution that will work hand-in-hand to promote consumer awareness and also simplify in-pharmacy management and recording of vaccinations.

The Flu Vaccination Program will be part of the new Health Services Hub, a virtual marketplace for health services in pharmacy, and available as part of the PlusOne software.

It means pharmacies will be able to send health-related messages to target customers through the MedAdvisor app, SMS or email and then utilise the fully-integrated booking system to manage bookings.

For consumers, they will be able to book an appointment for a flu vaccination with a simple click, dismissing the need to wait at their local pharmacy and easing the process to stay healthy during flu season.

The new feature will be available from March.

“Pharmacies can play a critical role in helping keep the population healthy, but they have lacked software tools that truly help them communicate the range of services they can deliver to customers,” MedAdvisor CEO Robert Read said.

“MedAdvisor has a successful track record of providing technology through PlusOne that enables pharmacy to connect with their customers in a simple and convenient way.”

Pharmacies that are already part of the MedAdvisor network can click here to register their interest and be first to gain access to the new features in March. To find out more about MedAdvisor, visit
