Frontliners ‘our saving grace’

National Pharmacies will be applauding some Australian heroes with its upcoming Christmas Pageant

The group has announced that the 2020 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will celebrate and acknowledge South Australian emergency services and the “selfless” frontliners who have faced their most challenging year to date, with Pageant partner SA Power Networks.

“South Australia was only beginning to re-emerge from devastating bushfires when one of the worst pandemics the world has ever seen bit into its recovery,” the group said in a statement.

“The relentless courage and contribution shown by our essential service providers such as SAPOL, MFS, CFS, and SES worked tirelessly with all essential services every day to ensure the safety of our community.

“More than ever this year, the efforts of the first responders have been vital to the South Australian community and the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will accordingly recognise and applaud those who have kept us healthy and alive, clean, fed, supplied and commuting. “

SA Power Networks partnered with the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant to support this year’s event with an acknowledgement and a montage dedicated to the people who continued to work and deliver services to keep communities connected, and running.

“We felt it was important and necessary that we dedicate a segment of our Pageant to acknowledge our frontliners who have been our saving grace in arguably one of the most difficult years of our lives,” said Pageant Director, Brian Gilbertson.

“Our responders have done tremendous work, and I think all of us in some way have been impacted or touched by their stories.

“We are excited to be able to present this incredibly poignant and emotional representation of our gratitude and thanks.”
