Guild, AFT Pharmaceuticals team up to find top pharmacy assistant


The Pharmacy Guild of Australia has announced that it will partner with AFT Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd for the 2017 National Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia National President, George Tambassis, says that the Award is the premier opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution that pharmacy assistants make to the community pharmacy industry.

“We’re pleased to partner with AFT Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd in 2017, utilising the Maxigesic brand.

“This award is the premier award for approximately 35,000 pharmacy assistants in Australia,” Tambassis says. “It provides a public platform to recognise pharmacy assistants as professional and valued health care professionals, to employers, the community and the industry.

“With the support of AFT Pharmaceuticals, we look forward to acknowledging and celebrating more pharmacy assistants than ever before,” Tambassis says.

Nominations for the Pharmacy Guild of Australia/ Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award will open on Thursday 9 March, 2017 at the Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference.
