Pharmacy robbed with syringe

NSW police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a Maroubra pharmacy on Tuesday night.

About 9.30pm on Tuesday, a man entered a pharmacy on Anzac Parade. Police have been told the man, armed with a syringe, demanded money from the female pharmacist.

The pharmacist complied and the man fled with cash and medicine.

Nobody was injured. Officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command came and patrolled the area, but the offender was not found.

Police say they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as having a tanned complexion and was seen wearing grey pants, a black jacket with white stripes on the wrist and waste, black runners with white tread and a backpack.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
