Major pharmacy realignment as WA groups join forces under Pharmacy 777 banner
The Pharmacy 777 group is set to expand after purchasing the Friendlies master franchise – a move which will see an additional 31 WA pharmacies operating as part of the banner.
The Friendlies group was sold by HBF, which has formed an alliance with Pharmacy 777 which will see double the number of pharmacies now offering services such as free flu vaccinations and health checks to HBF members.
Kim Brotherson, Pharmacy 777 managing director, told AJP that the move will take the group to a total of 70 pharmacies.
“During the initial transition period (which will be up to a maximum of 6 months), Friendlies pharmacies will continue to operate as now and a support team will be available,” he said.
After a transition period, Pharmacy 777 will be HBF’s exclusive provider of the preventative health services including flu vaccinations, health checks and weight management programs.
Pharmacy 777 says it will provide a generous package of financial and operational support to help Friendlies pharmacies transition to the Pharmacy 777 brand and enjoy the benefits of the alliance.
“We’re committed to ensure the Alliance works to benefit of all pharmacies and their patients,” Mr Brotherson said.
“We are very respectful of the legacy of Friendlies and we aim to make the transition as smooth as possible. It is a combination of ensuring both the patient and the pharmacy team are well considered in the Alliance”.
