AFT Pharmaceuticals has issued an update on the availability of Sandomigran, which has experienced accessibility issues of late.

Due to packaging problems at the packing site in Europe a backlog for a number of products has occurred – including Sandomigran, brand name of pizotifen.

Hartley Atkinson, Managing Director of AFT Pharmaceuticals has advised that “almost a month’s worth of stock,10,000 packs was released from our warehouse last week and has already reached the wholesalers.

“An additional quantity of 4,600 packs has been sent today to wholesalers.”

Further bulk tablet stock has also been delivered today to CPSA in Sydney for packing, which means that 38,000 packs will be available during this month and it will be released in 10,000 lots to get stock to wholesalers and pharmacies as soon as possible.

He wanted to reassure users of Sandomigran that “A total of a further 38,000 packs which is over three months of stock will be shipped by the end of February which is expected to clear the current backlog.”

“And another 38,000 packs have been promised in April,” he says.
