Applications are now open for 2020 pharmacy scholarship applications

The Pharmacy Programs Administrator has announced that applications are now open for the Rural Pharmacy Scholarship Scheme (RPSS) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Pharmacy Scholarship Scheme (ATSIPSS) for students studying or intending to study pharmacy in 2020. 

These scholarship schemes are funded by the Department of Health under the 6th Community Pharmacy Agreement and are designed to encourage and support rural, remote and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursue a pharmacy career.

RPSS provides financial support to encourage and enable students from rural and remote communities to undertake full-time undergraduate or postgraduate studies in pharmacy at university.

Each year, at least 30 scholarships are made available, each with a value of $10,000 per year for up to a four-year period, totalling up to a maximum of $40,000.

ATSIPSS enables Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to undertake full-time undergraduate or postgraduate studies in pharmacy at university.

Three scholarships are available annually, each valued at $15,000 per year for up to a four-year period, totalling up to a maximum of $60,000.
