Sigma has announced that it is restructuring its business and farewelling its Chief Operating Officer, Gary Dunne
Sigma says that its recent change of name to Sigma Healthcare Limited was a signal of its intentions to “expand on its wholesale and retail pharmacy heritage by becoming a more holistic healthcare partner”.
It says the next step in this process is the re-shaping of its organisational culture, with the intention of driving a customer-centric, whole-of-business approach to delivering on its strategy.
The reshaping includes the farewell of COO Gary Dunne, a key contributor in the strategy’s development, who has decided it is the right time to pursue other opportunities, Sigma says.
Mr Dunne was COO for more than six years and Sigma says he contributed “significantly” to the Sigma turnaround and growth.
The changes being implemented are expected to see Sigma re-configure the business around three key platforms – Customers, Operations and Group Services – to deliver greater clarity and purpose, and to simplify the way it supports and service its customers and other business partners.
“The Sigma business has made significant progress over the past six years.
“The changes we are making now are about driving that performance and customer centric culture in a way that will support the next wave of success for Sigma and our customers,” Mark Hooper, Sigma CEO and Managing Director said.
