TGA warns against use of melanotan tanning products


Regulator flags “serious health” risks associated with tanning products containing melanotan  Australians are being urged not to use nasal sprays, injectables and ingestible melanotan products that are being promoted and sold online.   The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) warned that melanotan increased the risk of “serious skin cancers”, kidney dysfunction and “swelling of the brain”.
