TGA warns on sildenafil impotence tablets

The TGA has warned that a product called 100% Healthy Food For Men tablets are unsafe and should not be taken.

The tablets pose a serious health risk, it says.

The TGA tested the product and found that the tablets contain sildenafil, a prescription-only substance not declared by the manufacturer.

The Chinese characters on the label make therapeutic claims including that the product is indicated to treat impotence, the TGA says.

It says a number of people in Australia may have bought the product online, and that these people should stop taking the tablets and bring them to their pharmacy for disposal.
