Undeclared sildenafil

alert shortage warning

The TGA has issued safety advisories on three products found to contain undeclared sildenafil

Consumers should not take Rhino 8 Platinum 8000 capsules, Germany Niubian tablets or Liangzern Dietary Supplements, says the TGA.

The organisation tested the three products and found that each contained the undeclared substance sildenafil, a prescription-only substance in Australia.

The supply of Liangzern Dietary Supplements, Germany Niubian tablets or Rhino 8 Platinum 8000 capsules is thus illegal, it says.

The supplements have not been assessed by the TGA for quality, safety or efficacy as required under Australian legislation, and the place of manufacture is not approved by the TGA in the case of all three products.

TGA investigations show that a number of people in Australia may have bought the products online.

It advised that consumers stop taking any of these substances immediately and take any remaining capsules or tablets to their local pharmacy for safe disposal.

They have also been advised to consult their health care practitioner if they have any concerns arising from their use of the products.
