A first for Chemist Warehouse


Chemist Warehouse has signed on as the first official pharmacy partner of the Australian Open

As part of the new multi-year deal commencing in 2020, Chemist Warehouse will provide a pop-up store onsite at the Australian Open, located in the Grand Slam Oval area. 

“We have worked hard to increase our offerings on-site at the Australian Open, and we’re excited to partner with Chemist Warehouse to provide our fans with a range of health and beauty products that will help make their day at the tournament more enjoyable,” Tennis Australia Chief Revenue Officer Richard Heaselgrave said.

Items available at the Australian Open 2020 Chemist Warehouse store include a range of personal care and emergency first aid products, La Roche-Posy sunscreen and L’Oréal skincare, make-up and haircare products to ensure patrons have easily accessible wellness solutions available on site.

 In addition to the pop-up store, Chemist Warehouse will also present the obstacle course, one of the largest activations on the Lower Terrace, at the new-look AO Ballpark at Birrarung Marr, which will be four times the size in 2020.

 “We’re absolutely thrilled to partner with the Australian Open, the biggest global sporting event this summer,” Chemist Warehouse Director Mario Tascone said.

“At Chemist Warehouse we take pride in supporting sports at every level and we’re excited to activate at the AO, the pinnacle event on the tennis Calendar.

“Chemist Warehouse will be the one stop shop for all your health and beauty needs at our massive pop up shop, so everyone can stay well and look fabulous at the Australian Open.”

According to marketing publication Mumbrella, Chubb and United Breweries have also signed multi-year deals with the Australian Open.

Over the past few years Chemist Warehouse has had a strong presence at key sporting events such as the AFL and NRL Grand Finals.
