The Guild has formally advised members of its CP2025 Framework for Change, encouraging them to download the publication and use it to transform businesses
The Pharmacy Guild has contacted its members to let them know that the publication is available.
It “has been produced for you as owners of community pharmacies and medication experts to provide you with some practical steps that you can take in your pharmacy to help ensure that your business remains viable in the future, providing the best possible health outcomes for your patients and customers,” the Guild says.
The CP2025 document is the culmination of more than 12 months’ research involving more than 2,500 patients, investigating what they want from community pharmacy now and into the future.
“We’ve also been communicating with over 150 stakeholders on the future of our sector, and we’ve looked at the trends overseas, in medicines, funding models, technology, business and health service delivery models,” says the Guild.
It is encouraging members to use the publication to identify steps which can be made to change pharmacy businesses in order to “help secure the future for you and your workforce”.
“We also recognise that many members have already commenced making changes in their pharmacies to ensure their ongoing viability and security and we commend those members accordingly,” says the Guild.
“It may well be that there are additional ideas and steps in here which could build on those business activities you’re already undertaking.”
CP2025 is the Guild’s major strategic planning project, aimed at providing a “vision and roadmap” to secure the future of the sector.
