Five five-star reviews

Guardian has been named the winner of Canstar Blue’s Most Satisfied Customer Award

Canstar has ranked 14 pharmacy banner groups on criteria including service and advice, availability of pharmacists, prescription availability and speed, and range of products.

“Do you know your local pharmacist by his or her first name? A lot of Australians do. Even if you don’t, you may still recognise them when passing in the street and say hello,” says Canstar in describing the awards.

“That’s because a good pharmacist and pharmacy is integral to the community it serves, providing not just a place to dispense prescriptions, but somewhere for people to go with any health-related concerns and questions that may not require a trip to the doctor, as well as a place to learn more about living a healthier lifestyle and pick up numerous related goods.

“A local pharmacy provides an essential – almost universally trusted – service many would be lost without.”

Canstar asked more than 4,100 consumers for their feedback on the pharmacies they’d visited in the previous six months – whether in person or online.

Guardian took out five-star reviews in five out of the six research categories, including overall satisfaction.

Head of Guardian, Kurt O’Brien, said, “Guardian has been serving the local community for more than 30 years, so to take out the award for Most Satisfied Customers in Australia, as rated by our customers themselves, is a true testament to the community service that Guardian offers – an approach to patient care and wellbeing at time that has never been more important than right now.

“This is the fourth time Guardian has taken out this award, also having received the acknowledgement in 2012, 2013, 2017 and now again this year – and we couldn’t be prouder of our pharmacy teams who are at the centre of this achievement.

“The win comes after a busy year of community engagement for us including the 20th anniversary edition of our Healthy Kids’ Guide in February and The Guardian Angel Knitting Program in May; both of which continued to exemplify our commitment to community both within pharmacy and beyond.”
